Inbound and Outbound Voice for Latin America now live

We are excited to announce that Gupshup is now ready with the WhatsApp Business Calling API for SIP, a capability introduced by Meta to bring real-time voice calling directly into the WhatsApp messaging thread. Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Mexico and rest of latam - businesses from these regions can now get started with user-initiated and business-initiated calling for SIP. Location request session messages on V3 Passthru APIs

Location request messages that display body text and a send location button are now documented for V3 Passthru APIs. When a WhatsApp user taps the button, a location sharing screen appears which the user can then use to share their location.

Updated Pricing Page for Partners

Non-MM Lite marketing messages charged at 6% markup w.e.f Jan 01, 2026

Gupshup has updated pricing for WhatsApp marketing messages sent via 'Cloud API (not MM Lite)' starting January 01, 2026. A 6% markup is now applied on top of the WhatsApp marketing fee for marketing messages that are not using the MM Lite marketing route.
