Coexistence Support

The Coex Sync API is now live and ready for use. We are targeting a full General Availability (GA) rollout for Coexistence feature by the end of June 2026. For details on sync API, please refer to our Sync API documentation.

Username / BSUID Updates

The partner API to enable/disable receiving BSUID payloads in incoming webhooks is now live at app level. Read here.

While reserving of usernames by businesses and sending message to BSUID is still under testing by Meta, support for this will be provided by Gupshup in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more details in the next week on Username.

Security Enhancements

While APIkeys and App tokens are now visible only once - upon generation / regeneration, a bug related to non-admins not being able to generate app tokens from partner portal is now fixed. Now admins and non-admins can again run the app token generation operations through the interface.

Also as a new security policy, new Client Secrets generated will not have a long-lived expiry. Their validity can only be set up to 3 months. For existing client secrets set for long-validity will continue to work as is. We will soon be adding email notification to the admin and respective user to remind about the upcoming expiry.

ALERT: Partners using password to generate partner token should note that they must prepare for adoption of client secret method to generate partner token as the legacy method will be deprecated on Oct 31, 2026.

Policy Update: Phase-out of System-Assigned Overdraft Facility for Wallets

As part of our ongoing initiative to create a more structured and scalable framework for wallet overdraft management across the platform, we are now moving to the next phase of this transition.

What’s Changing Effective July 01, 2026: The current maximum limit of the system-calculated overdraft facility will continue to remain unchanged for existing wallets and will no longer be automatically revised upward going forward.

What This Means for You Wallets that currently have a system-calculated overdraft limit will continue to retain their existing assigned limit till further notice. We recommend reviewing your wallet utilization and operational workflows in advance to ensure a smooth transition before July 01, 2026.

ALERT: Accept Gupshup Partner Terms of Use by 30th June 2026 to avoid disruption

The Gupshup Partner Terms of Use are available on Partner Portal under Resources section. We request admins of Partner Portal account to initiate the acceptance of the same by June 30 2026.

Partners who do not accept the Terms by this date may start losing some partner portal features such as app creation, etc. We request you to review and accept the Terms within the stipulated timeline.
