Docs Updates: WhatsApp Single-Product Template Messages and Product Card Carousel Templates

New documentation has been added for sending WhatsApp Single-Product Template Messages and Product Card Carousel Templates via Gupshup APIs. These guides help partners quickly implement interactive commerce messaging experiences with rich product discovery flows.

Improvement: Outdated conversation-specific elements removed from Partner Portal

Conversation-specific elements have now been removed from the Partner Portal UI, as these components are no longer relevant with the latest platform and Meta pricing model updates. This cleanup helps simplify the interface and ensures partners only see current, actionable messaging information.

Bug Fix: Meta Template Library Sync

The Meta Template Library sync issue on Gupshup.ai has now been resolved, and templates in Meta’s library are syncing successfully, allowing you to utilize Meta’s library seamlessly within the Gupshup platform.

Bug Fix: Sync of Templates Deleted at Meta

Templates deleted directly at Meta will now automatically sync and reflect as deleted on Gupshup as well. This ensures better template consistency across platforms and reduces manual cleanup efforts for partners.

Update to WABA Embedded Sign-Up Experience

Previously, when you shared the Embedded Sign-Up link with your customers, the link would open directly to the Gupshup interface, where customers could proceed by selecting the “Continue to Facebook” option.

Going forward, before customers are redirected to Meta for onboarding, they will first be required to review and accept a set of Terms & Conditions.

On accepting the same, the user can then see the 'Continue with Facebook' option and continue the flow as usual.

This update is being introduced to ensure better compliance and provide greater clarity on onboarding requirements to the customer before account setup begins.

Please note: This will be part of the onboarding flow for all new Embedded Sign-Up journeys. You may inform your new customers in advance to avoid confusion during onboarding. No technical action is required from your side for this change

  1. One-Time Visibility for App Tokens & API Keys To improve credential security and reduce accidental exposure risks:
  2. MFA Enforcement and Password Rotation To further strengthen account-level protection across platforms, the following user authentication policies will become mandatory on Partner.Gupshup.io (starting 31st May 2026):
  3. Reduced Login Session Duration To further strengthen platform security on Gupshup.ai, we are enhancing session management controls. As part of this update, login session validity is reduced from 24 hours to 12 hours. Users may be required to log in again after the session expires.
